Have you ever noticed that when time travel is part of a plot in a book or movie, it's always the same? There's always the same kind of reaction when you travel back in time. You either change the course of history, or it's already been changed because some form of you in the past has done it already. Sure, the means of which characters travel back in time are different, from a DeLorean to a TARDIS, but it all turns out the same. They save the world, or destroy it and THEN save it. So, my grandpa and I took it upon ourselves to create a new type of time travel, and write a book about it.
I can see why all time travel fiction is the same.
Not only is it very hard to decipher the time vortex, all of the ideas that we set forth crashed and burned because they backfired. It didn't help that my grandpa could disassemble our theories with one question.
My theory is that all writers just copy off of each other's ideas and just hope that no one notices. To put up a new theory and have it somewhat "bullet-proof" is a very hard thing to do, and I admire the writers who try. Thank you for pushing against the box that is time travel fiction as we know it. We applaud your courage and persistence. Here's an imaginary trophy. You can put it up in your imaginary trophy room if you want. It's all yours.
My thanks.

If I wanted time to drag, I'd just go to school
Once again, it is the time to start applying for school. Yikes! Summer went by way too fast. There is never a shorter time in one's life than summer vacation. But, as all good things must, it comes to an end after a mere eighty-four days. What's worse is that I'm looking forward to school starting again.Oh no! I'm becoming delirious, I think I should lie down.
I suppose there is never a more appropriate time for school. During those nine months, temperatures get too cold for such activities as swimming or spending all day in the sun.Autumn is very windy, and those 7 1/2 hours of the school's stale air is somewhat of a comfort. Those frigid moments in December make us appreciate the warmth in school, slight as the warmth is. We're glad of our knowledge from health class when we catch some virus in the spring, and we can tell whether it's hay fever or the flu. My, how school has helped us all.
I do hope you caught my sarcastic tone. If you didn't, then I'm sorry to burst your bubble. I was being sarcastic. In all seriousness, I am quite excited, just not in those ways. And I like to complain a lot.
What I'm NOT excited about is being a sophomore. Literal translation means wise fool. I think that definition explains itself. As a freshman, I did notice that the majority of the sophomores thought they knew everything. I do NOT want to become some little egotistical weirdo that thinks she rules the world. Maybe I'll be one of the lucky ones that don't catch this dreadful disease. Or maybe I already HAVE IT. DUN, DUN, DAAAAAA!
So on that (ahem) lovely note, I must say goodbye and good luck to all of us that must enter into the school building once more.
